What Carpenters House Means To Me ...Jerry Carson

My wife and I came down to Slidell, La. about 2 years ago to do a Light For The Lost cook out for Convey of Hope. We met a person there by the name of Charles Dillon, who showed us the lower 9th Ward and all the damage that was done.

Vicki and I came home thinking what we could do to help those people. Since that time we have been there about 8 or 9 times helping on Christmas, cooking and giving out gifts, what a blessing that was. We have helped in getting clothes, school supplies, health needs, food.

It has been a real blessing for us to help , Charles and Judy carry on the work that God has placed on their heart. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A REAL BLESSING, YOU NEED TO TAKE A TRIP TO CARPENTERS HOUSE IN LOWER NINETH WARD!!!!!!!!!!!

What Carpenters House Means To Me ...Chris Sidner

In 2007 I had the honor of meeting Charles and Judy in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, LA. I was there as part of a missions trip to distribute backpacks and school supplies to kids. Once I met the two of them, I was hooked.

Carpenters House was then created and is about rebuilding not just homes, but a community. To me, Carpenters House embodies the true definition of the Christian ministry as laid out by Christ to his Apostles.

My experiences with this ministry have given me a much deeper understanding of being a Christian, not only in word, but in deed.
